M16 Eagle Nebula

Conditions: Clear, ambient temp. 9 degrees Celsius

Notes:  M16 was very low between trees on my southern horizon. Turned out quite well though.

M42 Colour 80f5

I'm quite pleased with the way this one came out. Helios 80f5 achro refractor, MX916, Orion (UK) colour filters manually swapped and refocused.
Red 1 x 60secs, blue 1 x 60secs, green 1 x 60s, lum 8 x 60s. Processed in Astroart.
Taken from 53 degrees North at 21:00 GMT, hazy, moon and neighbours security light!!

M57 The Ring Nebula - Colour


I had allocated this night for training the PEC, however I could not resist a dabble at RGB. Unfortunately the clouds rolled in after 30 seconds of the blue exposure! Still it was fun and a pleasing result.

This was my first image with the new MX916. Not the easiest target for a first image! It was also low in the South West. I'll have to wait until the winter now.
